Give Me Liberty, and Cold Beer...
New Liberty Clips!
Necessity is the mother of invention.
I'm out in the woods with friends hanging out around a raging bonfire about to crack open a cold stout beer, but no one has a bottle opener. I'm trying to get gas with my debit card in the middle of nowhere (northern Idaho) and they only take cash. My keys fall out of my pocket on a backpacking trip so now I get to hike home.
This is why we made the Liberty Clip. Because inconvenience is a tyrant, and we're fighting back.
Benjamin Franklin saves the day.
At RattlerStrap we think a lot about the things we use every day and how we can add function to them. I carried a Liberty Clip for nearly a year before we released it. Back then it was just my social survival keychain. It wasn't until several months later that I discovered I could fold up a $100 bill and stash it inside for emergencies. Here's how you do it:
- Choose the section you want to show out the oval frame.
- Start folding around that section
- Tuck folded bill into one of the ends of the bottle cap piece on the oval side.
It will take a little finesse at first, but you don't need to be an origami master.
